Parautochthonous

Definition: (geology) Of rock which has a character intermediate between that of autochthonous rock (which is native to its location) and allochthonous rock.

I don’t see why this word shouldn’t apply to people and cultures too. Especially people! People like me who’ve adapted to living in the locations they live in and can quite easily appear to have lived in each place for their whole lives. In a way misleading everyone around them…

Where am I truly from? Where can I really call home?
